As for movies, have you seen INCEPTION yet? It's definitely a creative mind thriller to check out (I saw it last weekend - LOVED IT! To me it was a cross between Vanilla Sky and Matrix - I'd like to go see again) and for those of us stuck at a cross-road in life - the long awaited - and best selling book turned movie - EAT PRAY LOVE starts today! (another flick I can't wait to see!!)

And if you're into updating your wardrobe for the next season, looking for bargains from end of season sales, need to stock up on school or dorm supplies, or back to school clothing shop for your litter - TAKE ADVANTAGE of TAX FREE SHOPPING in Florida - starting TODAY and running through Sunday. If you need some tips for shopping or decorating a dorm, check out his weeks prior posts:

If you're looking for a small project, why not update a space in your home by painting a door black, refresh your white trim with a fresh coat, paint a new color on your accent wall, create a new focal point with a salon styled collection on a wall, give a new presentation to your book shelves, or just switch-out accessories on a tabletop to create a new vignette...

If you're looking for inspiration for a vignette or you have one you care to share, check out the VIGNETTE FRIDAY link party hosted by Artie over at his beautiful blog Color Outside the Lines... And if you take on a transformation project this weekend, don't forget to share it over at Susans Metamorphosis Monday on her blog Between Naps On The Porch...

Whatever you decide to do, have a happy weekend!

  1. Tonight and maybe again tomorrow we are going to meet some friends at a nearby shopping center where they have live music. This center has a wonderful area with a large patio area which also has a pop up fountain that kids play in. There is also a large lawn and a playground. Some people eat at the restaurants that surround the patio area, but some bring their own wine and food. We went last week without our girls who are now 17 & 18 and had a very relaxing time listening to music and watching all the kids play.
Not sure what project we're going to work on this weekend.
Hope your weekend is fun Lynda!

  2. It was Pam! Thanks for sharing! Painted the front door black, switched out accessories while cleaning, mani-pedi-movies, and Saturday night - we were invited to go to the Design District for a gallery walk and we ate dinner inside an old post office converted to a hip resturant! (very cool!)

    :D Lynda
