FOCAL POINT STYLING: FROM PIN PREDICTIONS TO THE RED CARPET: The Dresses of the 84th Academy Awards

Wow... What a kind of "girly" day it was yesterday. Since I enjoy watching awards shows to see the color trends, glitz and glam, I decided to get a little head start before the awards started. Between Saturday + Sunday morning, I pulled together Red Carpet Ready style pin board, of the colors, styles, hair and accessories I'd like to see on the red carpet Sunday night. Although my pin predictions weren't exactly right, the color trend I had pinned the most of was white, gold, and black - which is what pretty much dominated the red carpet. Who was Best Dressed? I seriously don't know this time... But I know my fave ws Gwenyth Paltrow - with or without the cape, just looked stunning. I especially LOVED the cuff!

The show itself was alright. I enjoyed watching the people behind the sense also get recognition like costume design, set design, special effects and music. Was getting all consumed by the event going to pay a bill or put food on the table? No - but it did inspire a dual closet clean-up and reorganizing since we moved here... along with a new bag of donations dropped off at our local Goodwill :)
