#HPMKT Showroom Tour: Huntington House

A great furniture source I was introduced to during my first experience attending High Point Market, Market Week was Huntington House furniture. Huntington House focuses their craft on upholstered pieces. Huntington House was founded on more traditional style pieces, but they have evolved to offer an eclectic collection of beautifully designed frames, created with the ever-changing needs of their customers in mind. They have transitioned the good bones of their furniture designs with updated textiles, in rich velvets, on trend graphic & floral prints, luxurious chenille, rich leathers, some combed for a more lived in look, and wovens + authentic linens for sophisticated and relaxed looks. Within their assortment, they have even managed to include clean line designs, reminiscent of the Mad Men era, design icon Milo Baughman, and ScanDesign.

One of many HH chair faves - This new intro reminded me of a Milo Bauhgman T-back chair Milo designed in 1968... LOVE it!!

One of the things I enjoyed most about touring the Huntington House Showroom, was learning about their backstory, and the history of this fine  upholstery furniture company. Huntington House was founded in 1982, with the intention of creating a world-class custom-upholstery company. Unlike many companies today, Huntington House is a family owned business, who  hold themselves to the highest standard of excellence -- and take no short cuts. Their choice to manufacture exclusively here in North Carolina allows them to employ the most talented craftsmen in the industry, use the best materials, and apply timeless manufacturing techniques passed down from one generation to another. Their passion for quality, comfort and fashion has earned them a reputation of excellence in the furniture industry-- and the best part? Huntington House is made in the USA!

Huntington House constructs furniture to fit any size person, any size space, and any style category. With thousands of frame combinations to choose from, you are sure to find exactly what you are looking for - and they have a program allowing you to do just that: from ottoman designs to chair or sofa - back styles and leg styles, you can customize with wood finishes, trims, and decorative upholstery treatments to make your furniture uniquely your own.

A plethora of fine fabrics to choose from along with crafted upholstery details from nailhead trims to tufted to tight & tailored...

They offer a diverse collection of fabrics and leathers that have been carefully selected from resources all over the world. Their fabric selection has a wonderful balance between style, color and texture, and can be applied to most any customization you desire. In addition to the incredible frame designs and fabric selections they offer, you can further customize your furniture with your choice of decorative pillows, they include in their sample room workspace for the consumer to test out. Most recently, they've added classic Greek Key banding to their pillow assortment.

I made my appointment, and I was given a wonderful showroom tour by Christy Grove, their Director of Marketing, and who also introduced me to the owners. Here are just a few of my many favorite pieces plus a few new introductions from Huntington House:

 Beautifully styled showroom spaces...

LOVE the contrasting welt, in leather, on this Huntington House chair...

Floral print chair, but tight & tailored for a clean look...

Relaxed elegance - cream crosshatch and antique finished nail-head trim...

If you know me, you KNOW I LOVE my black & whites!! So yes - went WILD for this zebra wingback chair - which was quite comfortable too!

Beautiful details such as this scalloped back sofa, which seen from the front (as shown in pics just above) looks squared, but still tailored...

Love seeing fashion make its way into home decor such as this Karen Millen navy crosshatch dress and boxed edge with contrasting welt cushioned chair from Huntington House...

Although all the pics in the most I shot while touring the showroom, this one (fabulous) chair I couldn't get a good shot of - But thanks to instagram, here she is - One of the new intros this market from Huntington House.

Fine leather upholstery - from detailed worn (combed) leather to fit your design style - from modern to traditional...

Diversified lifestyle settings to choose from - relaxed casual, traditional, modern, transitional

Although the Huntington House is a Showroom open to the trade (designers and buyers for retail establishments) the public can find their quality craftsmanship for sale at retail stores such as Furnitureland South, here in North Carolina (plus online) - or by visiting the Huntington House website at HuntingtonHouse.com to search for a store or dealer near you - plus also keep in touch by connecting with Huntington House via all of their social media channels...

Although this showroom is more exclusive to designers working with their clients and buyers selecting pieces for their stores, their pieces are available in many stores around the country. One store in particular is right here in North Carolina called Furnitureland South.

A quick graphic I made from one of their new chair intros I shared during #HPMKT - A wonderful free-standing showroom, including their own parking lot (which is a HUGE help when getting around #HPMKT - Market Week, and beyond!)  I also created a board on Pinterest with not only furniture favorites, but also a few fabric selections too.
