FOCAL POINT STYLING: Thrifty Thursday - Latest Thrift Fashion Finds

If you're a thrifter, you KNOW thrift shops aren't just great spots for fab furniture finds. If you're not - keep thrift in mind when you're looking for some inexpensive wardrobe finds! It's a great place to score some great deals to update your wardrobe. Sometimes those updates can be for this season (like Summer) or the next (like Fall or Winter). From windows to racks, bins, and walls, here's some finds I've spotted recently while out & about looking for furnishings for a makeover... but couldn't resist also taking a look around - As seen in Out Of The Closet - Ft. Lauderdale, Salvation Army - Pembroke Pines and of course... Goodwill in Hollywood, Florida.

LOVE the creative use of fabrics (like these window sheers) used on forms in

the updated Goodwill stores in my area... Donated tables work as platforms and risers...

And still not losing site of the need for donations...

I toss everything in it from a pashmina for AC chills and my leopard print umbrella for those South Florida afternoon showers! LOVE it!

Sweet sundress for Summer find for another thrifter... OR

RETHINK its fabric use: make pillows, napkins or cover an old lampshade with the print.

Great transitional skirts - can be worn in either Summer with sandals or fall with opaque tights and boots.

A simple shirt dress from The Limited.

With a belt it's a great little dress... but I'll probably do it in fall with denim or leggings & boots.

Accessory tip: Chain belts can also be used as necklaces.

LOVE Culture score was $8 - but got for only $4 at Goodwill.

Great lightweight cotton - perfect alternative to a maxi for long hot South Florida summer days!

Another recent score - TOO good to pass up:

A hoop handle handbag - was $5.99 - got for $2.99

(and great timing too b/c I pitched an old silver bag earlier this year.

Accessory tip: A metallic handbag is a classic accessory to have.

And spotted these lovelies yesterday - NOT together and not my score - but just showing no matter how hot it is outside for summer, be aware of EZ wadrobe update finds for the future... These are fab finds for Fall.
