This $19 find would make a FANTASTIC mirror!!
White filigree lamps can add texture to a classic space.
A filigree jar can add texture to a contemporary styled wall unit.
Lattice can stay bright white or
try a two-tone paint application for a more bohemian style.
Great lines and style to this $5 find and
would work with a Regency styled space
Sometimes while thrifting, a style calls my attention. This time the attention was on lattice and filigree details. These details can work within classic, contemporary, or ethnic decor. Depending on their finish - hi gloss lacquered, bright glossy colors, natural wood, or metallic finishes - you can create a space with a Hollywood Regency style to a Marrakesh retreat. It's all in the details... Below are some ideas from my clippings & style files (found online, in magazines, and through retailers) to help get you started or inspire...
Blanc de Chine - big, white, fancy sculptural objects
Painted lattice or fretwork in bright white or
black for a fresh modern look.
Mix up your lattice finds with on trend stripes
and lacquered finishes.
Create a welcoming focal point
with a wow factor for a foyer
Update a powder-room with a modern faceted stool
juxtaposed to lattice styled wall coverings
Create a Bohemian styled coffee table
from a found panel as the top.
$5 find - easy to paint & replace
existing lattice fabric seat
Add dimension to lamps with a two-toned finish
Mix in a Marrakesh table at only $25
Although brass is on trend again,
this bar cart can get a refreshed modern look
with an easy application of spray paint in a
bright, glossy color
Although not necessarily thrifty,
sites like ebay , craigslist or 1stdibs can help you add
a little Hollywood Regency glam to your existing space.
The possibilites you can create from shopping thrift are endless..
But to learn more about
creating a Hollywood Regency style
